About us
History
The company was founded 1950 in Hameln by the physician and
pharmacist Prof. Dr. med. Günther Kerstein. Yet the roots
go back a lot further then, the origins are to be found in the
Raths-Apotheke in Hameln. This pharmacy opened its door in 1611
and today it is the oldest pharmacy in Hameln. In the beginning
the company focused on preparations for the German market. But
it only took a few years until we started the first contract
manufacture of medicinal products for other pharmaceutical 
companies. In the 70’s we had reached the point of specialising
in the manufacture of parenterals for hospitals.
Growth
A lot has happened since the company was founded. Today we
are linked with many partners across the world. The companies
of the hameln pharmaceutical group look back on a steady growth
of the business.
Commitment
Our employees are highly committed and well trained. That is
something we are proud of. Without them we could not have come
so far during the last decade. 1995 hameln pharmaceuticals employed
225 people. Today more than 320 employees work within the hameln
pharmaceuticals group. We are still growing – steadily
but thoroughly, because we always want to be a reliable partner
for our customers and a secure and responsible employer for
our staff!
